Fashion and Puppies and Charity! Oh my!
Bergdorf Goodman really tugs at your heartstrings with this delightful and especially sweet Christmas video. Seriously, puppies and fashion for a good cause? Genius.

Vogue, Back in the Day
I know these photos are on every fashion blog right now, but I just can't help myself. Besides, if you're anything like me, you'll be happy for a chance to look at them again. Old Vogue covers always make me nostalgic for the glamorous eras they represent. I actually have one hanging in my house, a print I scored from the Alameda flea a while back (see it here). Back then, each cover was different and a work of art. They were innovative, interesting and tested boundaries, all while being absolutely beautiful. What's interesting is that the more rights and independence women have gained over the decades, the more formulaic the covers have gotten.

Rumour Has It/Someone Like You
I'm a bad blogger, but hopefully this amah-zing video will make up for it. I've had it on repeat since I saw it last night. Still trying to figure out how to balance work, writing and this amazing new project I'm working on. Hopefully I'll be able to blog more regularly soon!

And I'm Back
What's even better than poutine? Poutine topped with duck confit. Killmenow.
Our uber luxe suite at the Hotel Georgia was an indulgent experience. Our room had its own living room, dining room and extra bathroom. Not to mention the service was incredible.
The Bella Tower at Sushi Bella is an amazing combination of tuna and salmon over a mix of crab and avocado and secret sauce.
Best ramen ever at Kintaro. Rich with fatty pork belly. I would go back to Vancouver just for this.
Best. Sushi. Ever. How I'm ever going to get used to SF miniscule serving sizes is beyond me.
Sorry for the long radio silence. I was in Vancouver on vacay and had no time to post. My trip was an amazing mix of catching up with one of my best friends, taking in the sights, relaxing, admiring the gorgeous city and stuffing my face with ridiculous amounts of crazy good food (we're talking the biggest and freshest Sashimi ever, the best ramen of my life and more poutine than any one person should eat). Vancouver, I will be back for more—take my word for it! Here are some of the highlights of the trip. Oh, and yes, I did get up close and personal with a beluga whale named Aurora.

Precision Like No Other
When I first saw these photos, my immediate thought was 'laser cutter, for sure.' But no, apparently Lorenzo Duran does all this ingenious and intricate work by hand. How amazing is he?
Can we also talk about the amazingness that is Stumble Upon? I wouldn't have found this otherwise.

First Chill
There's a chill in the air and all I want to do is buy every cozy sweater in sight. From a classic cable-knit to the more embellished and flashy, fall is here and it's time to start layering! Here are a few of the sweaters that I'm craving that are also seriously out of my budget. Hey, a girl can dream right? In the meantime, I'll be hitting Zara and Topshop for my fix.

Dipped in Gold
I have a weakness for anything sparkly, and that includes glitter nailpolish. My boyfriend hates glitter nails with a passion, he says it makes me look like a 12-year-old. But I don't care, it's love—true love. Recently, I did a little experiment that I'm quite pleased with.
I started with Seche base, followed by Essie in Shifting Power. After two coats, I then applied OPI/Sephora glitter top coat to the tips, painting backward and stopping halfway for a gradient effect. Finally, a Seche Vite top coat to finish it all off.
The final product, dipped in gold loveliness that makes me smile whenever I look at them.

Fashion Faves: Dion Lee
I first caught sight of Aussie designer Dion Lee via Style Bubble. Then I spotted one of my fave editors Christine Centenera wearing on of his looks, fresh off the runway (of course). Now, I'm obsessed and can't stop looking at his most recent collection.
With its origami shapes, architectural construction and unique silhouettes, it was a truly solid collection. I'm already mentally constructing outfits around the pieces even if I have no idea how I'd get my hands on them. I'm really impressed with the level of talent that comes out of Australia and would love to make a trip there to check it all out in person. Till then, eye candy it is.
